James thinks it is crazy to "celebrate" St. Patricks day, but growing up my mom would make an amazing green breakfast and send us to school with a special green lunch, and gave us a little gift., It was fun and special so I carry it on!!
Sat night we made a Leprechaun trap which the boys were SO excited about. We had cupcakes for bait and Lucky Charms trailing to the door. Unfortunately he got away and he caused some mischief before he left. Strewing blankets all over, knocked over the lamp and chairs and even turned our milk green!
After:
Tiny green footprints all over!!
breakfast, not as awesome as moms!
Later we had some activities. We made Rainbow necklaces with yarn and fruitloops.
Carter and Ava modeling
We had a scavenger hunt
the clues!
treats I made that were the treasure
We played Don't Eat Lucky
and colored
Dessert was green colored Vanilla pudding layers with layers of Oreos
Dinner: green chicken alfredo, home made rolls, mixed veggies, and green can of soda
A few notes: I had not worked for 2 weeks which let to a few problems... one.... no money. I spent about $30 which was mostly food. Also I didn't get paid until the friday before leaving me shopping the night before and most green things were GONE. So many of my plans were improvised last minute.
So my tips.... one plan ahead (if you can) two, even of you don't have money its inexpensive to plan a few special things. three.... have fun and involve everyone. James even made and WORE a fruit loop necklace!
