ONE year down... ETERNITY to go!

We started off the day sleeping in and then running some errands then stopped for lunch. We did some shopping at Kohls and City Creek Center. It was such a beautiful day! The weather was perfect. Here we are at lunch... 

 

 

At 3pm we could finally check in. (You'll never guess where.....)

 

 

 

We stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was amazing (it's James' favorite room, there is even a little statue of Lincoln)

 

Here we are on the balcony. The room has a huge balcony with a beautiful view. There is a little bench and table out there.

A candle lit bath. Awww.

The shower is incredible. It's like a water fountain that comes out of the roof!

Sparkling Apple Cider and Cupcakes come with the room. This room also has a 3 way fireplace. One side is in the tub, one side toward the bed and one side to the sitting area. That way you can enjoy the fire no matter where you are! It's very romantic.

 

 

We went to dinner, and watched a movie (and maybe some basketball!) During the movie as I laid next to sweet James and played footsie I sighed and thought how perfect this is, how wonderful it is to be so completely in love. Marriage is hard. REALLY hard. Especially with some of the challenges we have had to face in the last year. But going through it together, with your best friend, is such an incredible blessing!!

 

And of course our breakfast in bed on Sunday morning....

The Gifts... Love Fest 2013

We were able to treat each other to some special gifts to celebrate our year of wedded bliss.

 

James got some Gucci Cologne and I got Dolce and Gabbana

 

 

 

James has been wanting a nice watch and one of the traditional "year one" gift themes was clocks so he got this fancy pants watch

And I got these BEAUTIFUL Rachel Ray pans. I'm in love.

Introducing.....Love Fest 2013

Here are a few little quirks about me... When a special day lands on a weekend I like to have a celebration weekend as opposed to one single day. Also I name special events (this originated from a friends episode I believe... "Janice and Chandlers Day. Of. Fun.!")

 

And this is how Love Fest 2013 was created.

 

I can't even tell you how excited and happy I was leaving work on Friday. In fact in honor of Love Fest 2013 I only worked an 8 hour day instead of my normal 10. James and I did have an adventure Friday night but I also decided to do a little pampering and splurging on myself.

 

James makes me feel beautiful no matter how I *really* look. But when I take care of myself I feel better, happier and more confidant.

 

I started with a sugar scrub and exfoliated with a mix of 1/2 c sugar and 1/4 c baby oil.

Next a cucumber face mask

 

 

And a Stress Relief mineral bath. Ahhhhh!

 

I splurged on new salon quality shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair soooo soft!!

 

And I got new nail polish and painted my nails and my toes.

 

I got a couple new books and I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow and then spend the day with my love.

James and I love watching the office together. So in honor of the office here is my quote fortoday...

We had dinner tonight at pizza pie cafe in Bountiful. It was yummy.

 

 

Then we cuddled up and watched the office. We went to the store and I made a salad for potluck tomorrow. It was a great day and I am SO SO excited for our weekend together!
